The National Athletic Village in Southern Pines, North Carolina has been named as the venue for the Carolinas Geographic Rugby Union Championship Weekend on April 22nd and April 23rd, 2017. The weekend will bring together the best men’s and women’s teams from the CGRU for a weekend of play to determine the CGRU champions. The top sides coming out of the CGRU Championship Weekend will move on to play for the South Championship and a place in the USA Rugby National Round of 16.

“The board & myself are extremely excited to promote this event and that the NAV will be hosting it,” said CGRU President Simone Bontly.

Founded in 2015, the National Athletic Village is a multi-sport complex located in Southern Pines. The facility has multiple regulation size pitches for rugby and amenities for other sports, both indoor and outdoors.
